Bicycle Fitting at Bikesport

It's no secret that selling bikes is fun, exciting, and rewarding. But equally rewarding, as well as hugely important, is being sure the bike fits you well. At Bikesport, we have always stayed on top of current technology and bike fitting practices. Over the years, as information about bike
fit has evolved, all of us at Bikesport have had a keen interest in making our customers REALLY comfortable on bicycles.

In 2009 and 2010, we realized we had great knowledge about bike fitting, but times were changing!
Opportunities to become true EXPERTS in the bike fitting world were abounding. Bikesport took the plunge and got a little more schooling, so to speak.

Bike fitting now focuses not just on body type and position, bicycle size and type, but also looks closely at a person's medical history, previous injuries/surgeries, flexibility, past cycling experiences and future cycling goals. There are also tremendous differences in performing bike fittings on a man or on a woman.

Having a dedicated space, or a "fit studio" is key. In April of this year, we enclosed a portion of our store which is now devoted to providing you with a one-on-one personal consultation with one of fit experts by appointment only.

OUR MENU OF BIKE FITTING SERVICES

NEW ROAD BIKE FIT $150 - half of which is refunded to you when you order your new bicycle!
Includes complete consultation, bike fit, and we'll help you choose the bicycle, pedals, and needed accessories. Cleat placement and shoe consultation is also included. Plan to spend 1.5 hours with our fit specialist.

TRIATHLETE FIT $150 - half of which is refunded to you when you order your new time trial bike!
Includes complete consultation, bike fit, and we'll help you choose the bicycle, pedals, aerobars and needed accessories. Cleat placement and shoe consultation is also included. Plan to spend 1.5 hours with our fit specialist.

RETROFIT $95 - we'll take your existing bicycle and, assuming the size is appropriate, retrofit it to your body using the latest technology, fit techniques, tools. If parts are needed, these are not included in the price. Plan to spend 45 minutes with our fit specialist.

PEDAL/CLEAT FIT $30-60 - Bring your shoes or let us help you select a new pair. Bring your bike and allow our specialists to help set up pedals and cleats. We're confident we can improve your comfort. We can also help you feel secure using a clipless pedal system if it's your first experience. We're also skilled and have the equipment to offer heat-molded shoes! Plan to spend 30-40 minutes with our fit specialist.

COMFORT FIT $25 - Not comfortable on your existing hybrid/mountain/trail bike? Let us improve that! Make an appointment for a basic fit that ensures your comfort level will improve. Plan to spend 20 minutes with our fit specialist.
